“What did you do?” Kaitlyn gasped, pulling the blindfold away. “Just put some goop on for another electrode,” Joyce said. “Over your third eye,” Marisol added stonily. Joyce cast a sharp, disapproving look at the olive-skinned research assistant, Kaitlyn stared too. But Marisol’s face was expressionless. “What’s a third eye?” Kait asked. “According to legend, it’s the seat of all psychic power,” Joyce said lightly, “It’s in the center of your forehead, where the pineal gland is.” Joyce changed the subject, but Kit was disturbed. Disturbed by the look Joyce gave Marisol, and by the sudden rush of images into her own brain. Kait knew it wasn’t an electrode touching her forehead. But what else could affect her with such a deep, disturbing power?
